01 / Overview

Sleep at altitude, train at sea level.

What Kailash is, what makes it different, and where it fits in the HPFN lineup.

Kailash is a normobaric hypoxic sleep tent — a quiet, single-occupancy enclosure paired with HPFN's compact generator, maintaining controlled altitude conditions throughout an overnight session.

What makes it different: most altitude exposure happens at the gym or studio in short blocks. Kailash extends the exposure across 6 – 9 sleep hours per night without disrupting training schedule, family time, or athlete recovery practices.

Who it's for: endurance athletes preparing for sea-level competition (live-high train-low), mountain athletes pre-acclimatizing for expeditions, sport teams in pre-competition camps, individuals with home altitude programs.

Why sleep matters for adaptation: extended hypoxic exposure during sleep produces deeper EPO and red-cell adaptations than short daytime sessions alone. Combined with sea-level daytime training, this is the protocol pattern most published research uses.

07 / Questions

Common questions about Kailash.

Eight answers to the questions buyers ask before placing an order.

01How is normobaric hypoxic training different from hyperbaric or hypobaric chambers?
Normobaric systems like Kailash reduce the oxygen percentage in air at normal atmospheric pressure — the same physiological stimulus as altitude, without the cost, footprint, or safety complexity of pressurized chambers.
02Is sleeping in a hypoxic tent safe?
Yes, when used correctly. Kailash's closed-loop SpO₂ monitoring, automatic threshold alerts, and power-loss failsafe (which defaults the tent to ambient air on outage) provide hardware-level protection. Overnight live-high protocols at moderate simulated altitudes (1 – 3 km) are well-studied and in standard use by endurance and mountain athletes worldwide.
03What's the lead time from order to delivery?
Standard lead time is 6 – 8 weeks from order confirmation. Expedited delivery is available on request.
04What does installation look like?
Kailash ships in two crates — tent and companion generator. HPFN provides on-site or remote installation, air-seal verification, and operator training. Total install time is typically half a day.
05What's the warranty and ongoing support?
2-year manufacturer warranty on all hardware. Lifetime software updates and technical support. Annual air-seal integrity inspections are performed by HPFN service partners — air-seal integrity is the primary maintenance concern on a tent system.
06What certifications does Kailash hold?
CMA certified (China's national testing authority), CE compliant, IEC 60601 aligned. FCC and IC certifications are in progress for North American market readiness.
07How long is a typical sleep session?
6 – 9 hours per night, matching the user's normal sleep schedule. Most live-high protocols run nightly for 4 – 8 weeks.
08Can I see Kailash before buying?
Yes — request a virtual demo or, for qualified buyers, an in-person visit to HPFN's Hefei facility. For single-station daytime training see Everest (HPF-1); for multi-station group programming see Kilimanjaro (HPF-2).
