01 / Overview

Studio-grade hypoxia, clinical-format footprint.

What Matterhorn is, what makes it different, and where it fits in the HPFN lineup.

Matterhorn is HPFN's compact single-station hypoxic trainer, sized for clinic treatment rooms and home gym installations.

What makes it different: shares the closed-loop O₂ control architecture and HPFN Altitude OS integration with the larger Everest unit, but at a smaller footprint and lower flow rate suited to single-user, lower-intensity protocols.

Who it's for: longevity and wellness clinics, recovery centers, hyperbaric clinic stack-ons, individual S&C coaches with single-client practice, serious home practitioners.

Why this configuration: for many clinical applications, full-volume flow isn't required. Matterhorn delivers the protocol depth at a price and footprint that works for clinical use cases.

07 / Questions

Common questions about Matterhorn.

Eight answers to the questions buyers ask before placing an order.

01How is normobaric hypoxic training different from hyperbaric or hypobaric chambers?
Normobaric systems like Matterhorn reduce the oxygen percentage in air at normal atmospheric pressure — the same physiological stimulus as altitude, without the cost, footprint, or safety complexity of pressurized chambers.
02What's the difference between Matterhorn and Everest?
Matterhorn shares Everest's closed-loop architecture and HPFN Altitude OS, in a smaller form factor for lower-intensity, single-user use cases. Everest is the flagship for elite single-athlete or boutique-studio depth; Matterhorn is sized for clinical treatment rooms, recovery suites, and home installations.
03What's the lead time from order to delivery?
Standard lead time is 6 – 8 weeks from order confirmation. Expedited delivery is available on request.
04What does installation look like?
Matterhorn ships pre-configured. HPFN provides on-site commissioning and operator training as part of the included service. Total install time is typically half a day.
05What's the warranty and ongoing support?
2-year manufacturer warranty on all hardware. Lifetime software updates and technical support. Annual maintenance service plans available.
06What certifications does Matterhorn hold?
CMA certified (China's national testing authority), CE compliant, IEC 60601 aligned. FCC and IC certifications are in progress for North American market readiness.
07Is hypoxic training safe?
Properly programmed normobaric hypoxic training is a well-studied intervention. Matterhorn's closed-loop SpO₂ monitoring and automatic safety thresholds add hardware-level protection on top of protocol-level safety practices.
08Can I see Matterhorn before buying?
Yes — request a virtual demo or, for qualified buyers, an in-person visit to HPFN's Hefei facility. For multi-station group programming see Kilimanjaro (HPF-2); for sleep-tent acclimatization see Kailash (HPF-4).
